Behavior Problem

I got thrown out of Catholic school in the 4th grade because I was–in Sister Mary Dorothy’s words–“a behavior problem.” That year as well, I got tossed out of the Cub Scouts for the same reason. (My own mother was the Den Mother.) But I always liked the colors of the Cub Scout scarf, so I kept it. Little did I know that one day it would become appropriate attire to express support for a world without kings.
